Tour 931

Sorry for the extra n in the subject. I just thought it fit.

Before the big update I was logged in all the time. Now each time I need to log in each time. Yes I have the stay logged in button turned on. Any ideas?

Deferring to Sweeny on the xenforo software,
but its working for me on other communities.

Perhaps Check your own web browser settings in privacy section to be sure you are not wiping history on shutdown of browser?

That would discard the cookie thats saved to log yiu in ic you checked the "keep me logged in" on this sites log in page, amiright?

I believe Chrome does that in private mode?

Oddly, I have the opposite. I used to have to relogin every time, and now I stay logged in. So I suspect that it is something local.

Bingo I’m wiping out the history. It’s happening to me everywhere.

This sounds like a "client side" issue -- your browser.

Deleting your cookies is usually the fix for this kind of thing.

Thats the spirit :D There's no harm unless you're using a public computer....but doing that is a step away from cra-cra if you ask me :D
I agree. I never use public internet even with my phone. Plus I never need it as my phone creates a hotspot which I never allow others to use.

It amazes me how readily people will attach to public wifi...it has some pretty profound implications. While it is an older video, the device they are talking about is still available. This is still relevant today. I've thought about building a pineapple -- I just don't want the responsibility, other than the "can I do it?" factor --- I have zero need for this.

I never use public computers. Ever. On public wifi, Yes I have used it just yesterday in fact. However, I have two ground rules. First, I delete net wifi as soon as I'm done with it. Second, the moment my WIFI connects, I start my VPN.

VPN's are over-sold by every hack on YouTube, making videos and being sponsored, but they do have a use as long as you understand them. For what its worth, I run my own VPN (shocking, I know) If anyone cares we can continue.
