Any Tips On Making Up Replacement Gas Lines?

My gas lines on my used but new to me 2010 560 are looking a little elderly
and

I am not looking forward to figuring out how to cut and make up replacements myself,

or wait three weeks for an RV shop appointment to do it right...

I use the soap bubble test but its a PITA crawling around underneath for fat old me!;)

Any tips?

You can get a replacement from Cary. I was smelling propane around the storage bins and using a propane sniffer, traced it to the propane line. Never could find any breaks in the line and it looked fine, but once I replaced it, the smell went away with no sniffer triggers.

Thanks Randy! I'll give Cary a buzz.
Maybe save it for just before or after CICO...
If they can fit me in- I do want the new bat-tree...

Ya, My organic sniffer has not been the same since covid, or maybe its all the Siracha I use on my food...;).

So far no obvious gas smells but my stove seems to be running weaker
even though (I think) I have good volume and pressure on the tank.

What device do you recommend?

Not inexpensive but we were having a heck of a time trying to figure out where the leak was without it. Be aware that you will need to pull the sink to replace the line. Heat gun to soften the sealant the it pulls out real easy.

I have a gas 'sniffer' from Amazon and it works reliably. I paid $20 for it a few years ago, but now it is around $40. It has a gooseneck which is very handy.

Thanks all who have posted. I’m not having any problems but will file this information for further use. I may buy a sniffer for around the house as I’m installing four 1,000 gallon tanks.

Any suggestions on where to install a 1,000 gallon tank on my new 550? I have the hot tub option and the existing tank will only heat it for seven minutes.
