Justinc, welcome to the group! How long have you had your camper? What model?

Make sure you research using Beeswax to season your cast iron :) Its a game changer!

If you lived a little further east I might be able to steer you to some DOGs (Dutch Oven Gatherings). But I have little knowledge of the far west.

Are you familiar with TearJerkers? California has 3 chapters depending on your region.

It really depends on where you live and how active they are. Some are inactive, doing nothing others are very active and organized. Ours in Indiana (which has become more camping, less about teardrops) gathers at least three times a year --- spring, summer and fall. Sometimes 4 with a February trip (The Shiveree!)

Almost every event I've gone to has either done a cast iron demo or a "pot luck," Everyone is more than willing to talk and share recipes and methods.

Cowboy Kent Rollins (https://www.youtube.com/@CowboyKentRollins) has a good youtube presence. Right now he is at about 2.3 million followers. He's a character!

There is also a youtube channel that focuses on teardrop and cast iron cooking -- I cleaned up my subscriptions, and for some reason, I deleted it. They made a prime rib video that stands out in my memory, but I'll be danged if I can find them --- maybe one of our friends here has the name.

I don't know the first thing about cooking and plan to keep it that way. But that YouTube is just a black hole that sucks you in. I love watching Cowboy Kent Rollins!

If you are on FB or YouTube, Outdoors Cast Iron Cooking is one of the best Cast Iron/Dutch Oven groups. Created and run by two dear teardrop friends of ours, Dean & Joanie, out of Northern California, you will find lots of good stuff here.

Definately som awesome content here....

Rollins has performed at Lehmans Hardware in Kidron Ohio. I Know he did is 2022 and in 2020 (cancelled for obvious reasons).

This is probably one of the coolest tourist traps I've ever been too. Of course, it's not far from the Mansfield Prison, which most famously was used for filming of Shawshank Redemption. On my list of favorite movies and a destination I want to visit.

Lehmans is a hardware store focused on preppers and amish --- best way to describe it. Lots of cool toys there. They are also a full line lodge dealer, though lodge has fallen a bit out of my favor, their castings don't seem to be as good as they once were even though they are still based in Tennessee. Its gotten very grainy...
