Wow, I bet CI asks to use this photo in their sales literature! What a great looking spot. I think we'll put a Keys trip on the top of our "shake down cruise" when we pick up our CI this Fall. I definitey want to get the loc of this spot from you. Thanks for the info on the A/C.

So Cary, did you see this in the Fantastic Vent instruction manual? Sounds like you can adjust how much the vent is open. This is from the 6000 RBTA manual, not sure which one you are now offering. Similar instruction for the 6000R/417.

Dome adjustment or emergency close knob. To stop dome partially open; apply
opposite force to slowly rotating knob, as dome is OPENING ONLY!! To adjust
dome, allow it to travel all the way up automatically. Now pull knob down to
“MANUAL” position. Turn knob lowering dome to desired height, them immediately
push the knob back to “AUTO” position. (NOTE: at 1/3 open, fan blade exhaust
efficiency is reduced to 90%). After adjusting, always check knob to ensure it is now
    “locked into gearbox”

Gary, thanks for the info. I just happened to be lying here in the trailer reading this and tried it… works like a champ!

Not sure why Camp-Inn doesn't send the actual product manuals with the trailer, but it's good to know that what I thought might be a limitation to the new fan really isn't… yet another reason why this forum is so valuable, usually someone has an answer to a question or can provide a fix for a problem.

    Thanks again!!!

There is a manual??? Never seen one, dang it. Good find Gary. That makes sense that it work that way too. Knowing how it stops at the ends of the travel I can see making it do the same thing partially.

    Thanks!!

Craig found the manual too. I tried the thing Gary said to do and it works great! Also (and this isn't in the manual) you can run the rain sensor and not have to have the fan on. If you turn the fan off with the direction control switch or the thermostat it will function. If you turn the fan off with the speed control it will not function. Once you have that straight in your head it works pretty much the same then.

    Cary,

Didn't mean to stir up the hornet's nest when I listed my options. We will keep it on the list.
