Yah, Agree with Cary, heheh, obviously...
but it's only a small screen depth (apx 2.5") space with an open one behind it about the size of the width of a DVD case and then 2.5" behind that. (just went down and measured it)

Think of it like "Secret Storage" with a handle behind the wall. I store all my Science/Documentary Smithsonian & PBS DVDs behind there and works just fine...

While I'd like a bigger screen, not sure how they could do that, maybe offer a less Retro frame for a thin Square panel boarder?, Dunno. (I have an older one too, 2008)

While I'm not really "In Love" with the "Retro" look, but understand it. It would ruin the "Character" of the "Tear Drop" I guess...

I have laptop I can use too.

You get used to what you have when out "Camping or Glamping" with a Camp Inn, heheh, as they say..

Yikes, I'm using/misusing "Quotes" too much.. heheh, gotta leave them alone.

    Fun eh??

Is Truth is stranger than Fiction??
Nawh, not in this case, heheh..

From the Extensive Library Archives of "Le Droppe"...

    Fun..

    Frank,

The newest TVs we put in are much thinner than the ones like are in yours. About half the thickness.

Heheh, yah, I figured there was un updated version, but still has the "Oval Screen frame"... I was thinking the Oval could have an option for the full Square frame, allowing for a wee bit more viewing area...

Also? I'm afraid to ask cause I think I already KNOW the answer, but can mine, 2008, be upgraded?? I do have an annoying little white spot and if there were a square frame, I'd probably upgrade...

Gawd, don't tell me, I'll have order one, joking...

    Thanks..

    Frank,

Ummm, well actually it is upgradable. Have sent out a couple upgrades recently, mainly to replace TVs that have died with age. The whole black hinging assembly drops out of the cabinet and then is replaced with a newer version with the TV already mounted in it.

We personally love our TV/DVD option on Dewey obsolete or not, haha. We have a very good DVD library that we've collected over the years, we throw a nice assortment of movies in a binder and take with just in case of bad weather or if we just can't read another word in the evenings. There is nothing to set up and the clutter of a laptop/tablet cords, speakers etc. is nonexistent, I mean the inside of a teardrop trailer is tiny, keeping the clutter down is a blessing. The option has come in very very handy. I'm a classic movie buff so the TV/DVD was a no brainer. Also It is surprising how many local channels you can pick up with a small window antennae. You can't say you lose storage because the assembly is so cleverly designed and the unit so thin that the storage space is actually more accessible and more convenient to use.

    Cary...
Oh mann... I knew it would be... heheh that's why I was afraid to ask. Is it listed somewhere?? and any possibility of getting a full wooden screen frame? in place of the oval?

I'll send an email so as not to clutter up the forum..
    Hava good weekend...

    Michael,
Yep, I love mine too, luckily or unluckily, there is only moi so a little more room to put things, but yes, i totally agree on the cords etc.. a PITA to be sure.

One other thing that I occasionally run into is that, since I'm not used to the remote buttons, while watching, I'll accidentally hit the "Eject" ouch.. DVD into the side but it goes back in after a few seconds or so. Can't be good for the gearing I'm guessing...

    All Y'all hava good weekend...
