This weekend in Wisconsin

We spent Saturday evening, Sunday, and most of Monday near one of our favorite Wisconsin towns, Baraboo. Camped in a nice, private campground - Sky High - closer to Portage, WI.
Colors are getting good, still not peak, but we take what we can get.
There's a great little spot called Pewit's Nest outside of Baraboo that always satisfies, and this weekend was no exception. It's an easy hike with some awesome views.
Hopefully we'll be able to sneak back up before this year's colors are done.

It's a great spot any time of the year. There were a couple guys in waders making their way upstream, going beyond this area to another set of falls a few miles away. (In Wisconsin, as long as you keep your feet wet, you can walk through private property.) So many great places to see...

As I wander around this forum I keep finding neat stuff. Great pictures and another destination point to add to my list

Wow. Wow. Wow.

Mike - thanks for finding that thread and bumping it.

Ken - Beautiful shots.

Self - Put on list of places to see when we pick up the 550 this summer.

How did I miss this? Those are gorgeous shots. No...wait... We were one the road back then. No wonder I didn't see this.

I think what's really upsetting is we were very close to this area last October and didn't know it was there. We'll have to remedy that.

Thanks Ghost Orchid for bringing it back.

Camp On,

Sue
