Solar Hookup Solar Controller

I am potentially looking for a CampInn, so I have nothing to check right now, but what is the make and model of the charge controller and what type of battery does it use?

You will have to confirm with Cary at Camp-Inn, but the controller is Morningstar I believe. As far as battery you can get the standard wet lead acid battery or an optional upgraded AGM battery. The AGM is a Enersys brand and 70 amp hour, deep cycle battery.

We have a 560 and we had Cary install a solar plug (SAE) type. Our goal is to eventually buy a portable solar kit from Zamp Solar, it comes with a solar controller and thus we didn't need one built into the trailer. Advantage here is that I can use the solar setup for lots of other uses, like to place in the yard or driveway to charge other things and not just dedicated to trailer.

Hope this helps.

We did the same thing. Portable panels without their own built-in controller are the exception rather than the rule. We ordered our 560 with the solar outlet but no controller. I would recommend picking out your panel ahead of time and finding out if they can incooperate the compatible outlet into your build. (SAE, MC4, etc.). The default is the cigarrette lighter style outlet.
