    Bear,

As the forum owner I would like to add that I consider our beloved full-timers (you and Jenn) as VIP members of the forum, and always count your advice and experience to be invaluable. If you do indeed ride off into the sunset you will be greatly missed.

Although I am relatively new on the forum, as future full-timers, Jenn and Bear's stories and observations and advice are so helpful. I hope they both continue to post and be a part of this family!

Stuff like Screen Doors and Galley Wind Screen are things I expect my wife will want to make. She loves to sew, so I am guessing that will be part of her own personal touch she will want to add. Of course she also loves woodworking and has already asked if she could help build it...she has her own wood shop in our garage. [/quote]

While your wife may love sewing, I would strongly suggest ordering the screen doors ready made and installed. They are very well made, are a tight fit to the door, are attached via screws and inside the door lip.

The door screens can be made, but I would suggest studying an installed pair to understand how they are made, installed, and work. Granted, if your wife lives to spend a lot of time problem solving, creating patters, test fitting, and after a few uses remake another set of door screens, I suggest ordering the door screens.

Her talents and time can be used creating the galley wind screens, customized curtains, and bedding.

I'm not shy about admitting I was wrong; even if it takes a year.

We got the new, improved back-up/floodlight installed a couple of weeks ago when we were in Wisconsin and we love it.

We were attracted by the way it can light up "the patio" after dark (without stabbing you in the eye) and the handy switch right on the light. But I was pleasantly and unexpectedly surprised at how much illumination that thing throws for backing up in the dark.

It took Marty and crew all of 20 minutes to install it. Well worth it. I think you can retrofit it to any teardrop or raindrop regardless of vintage.
