Finally, 'tis the night before delivery! My thoughts are going a mile a minute. It will be a long day tomorrow waiting for Little Hoot to roll down the road to my house, but I'm sure I will be hanging out front to catch every sweet second.

First things first, I'll need to remove the shipping wrap, wash and dry. Then....probably walk around and just stare at it from every direction! Oh yes, and the wood grain in my build pictures I've been staring at for months ....I'll actually get to see in person.

I'm sure others waiting for their new CI would welcome any hints you have from when you first got your CI? set-up? checking it out?

Wonder....how long it takes for the first neighbor to stop by to check it out?

Quick shout out to all those on the forum being hit hard by the winter weather....hang in there!

I love sharing in your excitement. Have a great day. I'd be constantly checking the window or waiting on the driveway.

Enjoy the moment Beverly, I think every Camp-Inn owner remembers and cherishes the first time they saw their very own. The wait is over so go camping already! So happy for you.

Congratulations, Beverly! We've had our for almost a month, but it's been so cold all I've been able to unwrap is the passenger side door and the galley hatch, so I could measure for containers and baskets and figure out how I'm packing what, and where. It's been great fun while we wait for spring...

Good luck today Bev. The driver Jim is pretty awesome so you are in good hands.

Paige, hey you should get that plastic peeled off. Leaving it on too long can cause blushing marks on the aluminum. Especially if part of it is peeled open now letting moisture in. Wouldn't want to see you having to buff it before even getting to use it.

Coffee out front in the morning, afternoon pineapple ice pop out front......oh heck even Cobb grill out front for early dinner...watching and waiting. ....return from taking the new pup for a walk and received a phone message he was about 160 or so miles out....might be in the dark unloading. OK, you all stop laughing at me! :) :) I'm generally cool about stuff, but I'm just mush over my CI teardrop!

Thanks everyone for your thoughts and well wishes for today, you all get it.

Next sign-on Little Hoot should be sitting in the drive-way.

Congratulations, Beverly. What an exciting day for you! We probably saw your trailer at the factory when we picked ours up in late Jan. Having it delivered would have been way easier, but we did have a big adventure (which you are fortunate to have missed).

We were just in Punta Gorda with our brand new 560, visiting my cousin. We're coming through again on the way to Turtle Beach Campground near Sarasota. We''ll be there the 22nd- 27th. It would be great if you could come over with Little Hoot.

Since we'll be close by, please let us know if you need any help with the initial setup, or if we can answer any questions. We'd be happy to share the check-out tips we got from Cary. First tip: peeling the plastic off takes a while. Take your time and enjoy the unveiling. I did it in the rain in Orlando. Not ideal, but we couldn't wait. I'm sure you feel the same!

    Jeopardy answer is.....
What was Camp-Inn. The finest craftsmanship and quality now parked in my drive-way!

Yes, this is the proud owner of #633 reporting in to the forum folks. Hi all! My 550 Ultra was delivered just as it was about to turn dark. The driver had a long drive from Atlanta, GA to Punta Gorda, FL. He offered to help take the double wrapping off of Little Hoot, but that's one of those things you just want to do yourself. Let me tell you, if you decide on having your teardrop/raindrop shipped to your home, the folks at CI did a detailed job of preparing the unit for shipping.

I had to go into work on Tuesday, but was able to take a vacation day today to wash Little Hoot, apply a coat of Woody Wax, get it registered, add to my insurance policy, and check everything out. Taking a break right now to check in with you all. .....what do they say? ... 'time flies when you are having fun'!

The bottom line is, I am extremely pleased my decision was to go with Camp-Inn rather than any other (I sure did a lot of research too). Don't get me wrong, I'm sure there are other good builds out there. This teardrop is absolutely perfect for my needs.

Bare with me a moment if you will about quality. Yes, it's a big deal to me, as is pride. As I was unwrapping and checking everything out on my camper, I couldn't help to ponder about quality. My thoughts about Camp-Inn and quality is that it is apparent to me each and every person working at Camp-Inn takes quality as their individual responsibility. Now that's something to be proud of! Thanks not only to Cary and Craig, but each and every person that is part of Camp-Inn for participating and building my 550 Ultra. Little Hoot is a beauty!

OK, so back to checking out the camper...... I lift the hatch for the first time, whoa...really substantial....I'm wondering at this point where are the keys, should have I gotten them from the shipper? No, very neatly everything was in the drawer.

My break time checking in with you all on the forum is over for right now. I'm off to setting up the cabin and putting everything in the galley area. Oh yes, time flies when you are having fun!

Big shout out to you all.....this is SO VERY COOL! Time for camping, let the journey continue!

Note to Jim and Ani - thank you, I am trying to work it out to meet you both at the campground.

Didn't know Little Hoot is #633. The Dew Drop Inn is #632 so not only are our trailers nest mates, they're twin sisters! Only now these twins are on opposite coasts, oh well maybe someday they will meet again. Enjoy your new trailer Beverly.

Bev - how exciting and Little Hoot is a fun fun name. And you are in a part of our world where you can start enjoying her - as I look out the window we are in a new snow storm - 6 to 8" expected and then another polar vortex - they say spring is on the way???
