I'm not going to be any help to you but this is my experience and final resolution. I like hammocks because I want to watch the tree tops and sky. I've had one of the light nylon backpacking hammocks. A framed hammock from cabelas and a woven heavy cotton hammock. All were great. My final resolution had been a zero gravity chair. I can tip it back and watch the tree Canopy and birds and sky just fine and comfortably.
I have been very happy with my Rogi's and gathered-end hammocks but, you make that bridge seem like an essential addition to my gear closet.
