Max, the newest (less than 2 days old) member of the family. And our 1st grandchild. He's doing very well - no longer on oxygen, and getting hungry.

Being grandparents is the BEST, especially when you are nearby! And there is something very special about that very first grandchild. Enjoy the ride!!!

Thanks all! We are walking on air right now! He and mom are doing fine. She comes home today - Max will be in hospital for a few weeks yet, he's got a couple milestones to meet before they let him loose. Luckily Mom & Dad live just minutes away - it'll make it a little easier to stand being apart.

Great pictures of Mighty Max! Thanks for posting them. Susan and I are driving through Chicago today from Necedah to Toronto to visit family, we will blow Max a kiss.

Yes Ken RoFo is a trip, we have dubbed him STUPER MAN, we hope he disappears faster than a speeding bullit.

Stupor Man, hilarious! Sounds like he wants to be a wrestler... Sadly, Toronto's not alone with elected goofs, not by a long shot.
 
Thanks Anna & Steve and Jenn! Just got back from visiting Max and he's continuing to improve. Life is good :)
 
Max is now 1 week old!

He continues to over-acheive -- off the oxygen, eating on his own, regulating temperature. It can't be too long before he's home...

Jean, you are right! It's been a while, but he does have that same scent as our 4 did ;)

Paige (& Jason), mom says they're as sharp as razors, too. I'd like to see how such tiny nails get clipped... Thanks.
