We just spent a great few days with Benn and Meribeth at a neat campground located on the ocean and inlet where the Port Canaveral cruise ships sail from. We've decided to go back on March 22 to 24 to attend an airshow in nearby Titusville. That led to an idea to have a mini gathering - call it a "Cruise Inn at the Cape" I guess. Anyway, if any of the FL tears or CI family who are travelling in Fl at that time (Jenn ??) want to join us, here are the links:

Jean, I just heard that Jenn might make it. Delay a few days, let the snow stop falling and give the ice time to melt up in MN and enjoy some more sunshine at the Cape. My guess it will be 80 - 85 then!

Is this still on? Michelle and I are starting to plan a few outings …time off being a factor for her.

Have you heard from Jenn? In another post she mentioned maybe seeing us in Florida in March, but I wasn't sure if she was doing the Cape Cruise-Inn or the Keys with Jean. We'd love to do the Keys, but don't have that kind of time right now.

Do you remember what area of Jetty Park you stayed in? Returning, would you prefer to stay in a different area or is it all pretty much the same? Looks like there might be some ocean or inlet views.

Anyway, let us know if you're still doing this.

Hi AJ,

We are still planning on going to Jetty Park in March. We are on Site 238 and the Aaronson's are on Site 225. Our site is across from the Campstore and the bathhouse is behind us. There are spots out by the water but they have no electric or water. We really enjoyed this campground. We watched the Cruise Ships go in and out of the port.

The last note I had from Jenn she was planning on coming. Haven't heard anything from her recently. Would love to have you guys join us.

We like Air Shows !!! This was in Virginia Beach last summer.

...just waiting for Michelle's schedule to get approved and we'll make the reservation.

Hey All. I'm off work the week of March 18-23 and was thinking of heading somewhere warm that week. The weekend of the 22-24 would technically be when I'm driving home, so not sure I could make that weekend, but was wondering if any of you folks had plans (or would be willing to make plans) to camp elsewhere in FL earlier that week?
 
Hmmm.... was toying wit the idea, but RSVP is filled up...
didn't ask if they'd allow into "Tent" sites as some do, but looks like the park is "Filled up"...
oh well, next time maybe...
 
Frank, I am jealous. To even entertain the notion of going is something to look forward to. Sounds like you are having fun.
 
Heheh, Joan, well not "Quite" yet... need to finish up with medical/dental stuff for Feb, but planning to start getting out there in March. Sort of a "kick-off" date as i should have everything set up ready to go for a few short ones in PNW.

Did just get back from Yellowstone, not camping, thought it might be too cold, but really not too bad... 7F to 24F. fun but getting Antsy now. Thus the Cape thoughts..

Anyway, see you on the road or at the PNW campout at Mossy...

Cruise Inn at the Cape attendees, I just talked to Benn and Meribeth and we agreed to plan on attending the airshow on Friday. The general admission tickets are good for any one day so if weather doesn't cooperate on Fri we can go on Sat. If you want to prepurchase tickets, go to this web site:
