July Camping in New England

Cobscook State Park in Maine on a tidal cove is lovely. The reservations fill quickly, but there are some sites that cannot be reserved so you might be able to stay on short notice. We also enjoyed Grand Isle on Lake Champlain in Vermont. Camden Hills State park, midcoast Maine, is pretty and only a few miles from Camden Harbor. A small fleet of wooden schooners offering sunset, day, half-day sails moors there. Acadia Park's Seawall and Blackwoods campgrounds are fine places to stay, and the park has wonderful hiking trails with long views and hidden ponds. There is a new campground, in the Schoodic section of the park to the east, that I have heard is geared toward the enormous campers some people have. The other two are more to my liking.
Where in New England will you be. South Arm Campground on rRchardson Lake in the Rangley Lakes area of NW Maine is a favorite. Lost River Campground in central NH. Lots of nice ones in Vermont too.

We can be anywhere in NE worth visiting.
Well for scenery I would suggest the top half of Vermont, NH, and Maine. From the Mad River Valley, Stowe, and the Trapp Family Lodge, think Sound of Music, in Vermont to the White mountains and lakes of NH, to the western mts and lakes of Maine, to the seashore around Acadia and Bar Harbor Maine. For history and museums and such the greater Boston area. The Freedom Trail, Lexington, and Concord and the Minutemen. But those places are a lot more congested and not really camper friendly. It's the built up East coast not the wide open west. Western Mass and Connecticut are very beautiful too. If you come by the seacoast of NH give me a shout and there is a bed, shower, and washer and dryer at your disposal.
