LOL. It didnt' work - eventually you just get "meh, whatever...we're camping"
I don't mind the gas stations...my wife and I figured out how to play good cop and bad cop. The camp site tours are what really started to bother me a bit.
Polite people I didn't mind at all. People who stand at the corner of the site, or wave -- only thinking about approaching after they are acknowledged.
Its the people who just walked up that tripped my trigger. We have a nervous dog - she doesn't bite, but she does "nip" -- usually no more than grading the pant or short...she isn't going for skin. When you just walk up its sometimes a mad dash to get her under control...she's on a 6 foot leash 100% of the time....but that leash is attached to a cable attached to the chair. We're legal...she's on a 6 foot leash.
I have heard form at least one other teardrop owner (not a CI) that had some one just open their door....the gaul of some people! My class A, we would sometimes not lock when we went for walks in the same loop --- but I keep my galley door closed and the doors locked at all times....especially today with all the covid campers and the entitlement attitude that seems to have come with them.

We havent had anyone walk up yet to our site but we are usually on the run hiking, wine tasting or enjoying the attractions. We keep all locked and lock hitch and chains. We have a little min pin which we keep leashed but sheh also draws attention. People wanting to pet dog. I coukd not imagine just trying to open someones camper. People are different more than before.

Oh dogs....cats...dont' get me started. I think my wife is nearing a full deck (50+) rescued cats so far this year. Maybe more. I've totally lost track. But, let it be known I've seen it all.

I'm hopeful that people just learn that when camping "you do you" affects "me" and vise versa. We do not live in a vacuum.
I talked briefly to a state park manager a few months ago about a really bad experience. I kind of feel bad for him. Has no real authority, he's subject to the whim of state bureaucrats, yet has people who are acting like jerks. I've had a glass or two of Daddy's happy juice. I'll stop now.
My company just announced the latest "reorg" --- the deck chairs on the titanic are moving again. Just wish I had a camper to enjoy the coming weekend...you owners...I'm filled with envy!

Our last trip a man stood at the edge of site waved and ask if we minded if he looked from where he was. We invited him to come take a closer look. He was very and said he didn’t want to intrude since his wife was coming up the path. Once she got there we gave them a tour. They loved it and we got to meet a very nice couple.

After 6 years of Campinn ownership we are kind of getting use to the frequent visitors/intruders to our campsites, the discussions at gas stations, rest stops, grocery stores, etc. We have given so many tours that my wife and I have a system where she talks about the cooking, storage, and about her camper quilts, while I will talk about the mechanics of the camper. Depending on when the visitors descend and how many adult beverages we have consumed some of tours don't go as smoothly as others. We have given out countless brochures, and just received a commission check from Campinn, after a couple actually bought a camper after talking with them, ironically we hadn't given them a brochure. So far we haven't woke up to peering eyes looking in at us (a fellow Campinn owner we know has) or had anyone knocking at our door, but I am thinking about putting up a trip wire with tin cans on it , to alert us to our frequent visitors.........
