Indian Cove Campground Joshua Tree - Tent Only?

Anyone happen to know If they will allow a teardrop to setup in the driveway of tent only sites in Indian Cove? There is a beautiful site available (87) for the dates I need but is tent only and of course, they don’t answer their phone. The driveway is dirt and has plenty of room for my 560. Thanks!

I’ve stayed in many a ‘tent only’ site but I’d hate to get there and have someone be dogmatic. Keep calling, maybe call the district office.

The tent only campsite 88 in Indian Cove worked out great. They consider the camper a vehicle and there are a max of two vehicles per site. Large boulders prevent backing the camper all the way into the sites but the driveway was dirt and nice and level on site 88. Stunningly beautiful campground surrounded by large boulder strewn hills. Not all sites would work well with the camper but highly recommend number 88. Camped with my brother Dave (I'm the short one!).
