If you are planning a 2025 Grand Canyon trip this year, the North Rim will be closed for the season after fire burned many of the facilities there including the lodge & other buildings.

Grand Canyon National Park Superintendent Ed Keeble said the Grand Canyon Lodge, the only lodging at the North Rim, was consumed by the flames.

I just heard about that. That’s awful. I car camped there a few years before buying my 560. It’s a beautiful place to visit and I have been meaning to go back but haven’t. I guess I could just kick myself now.

The views across the canyon from the lodge balconies were just awesome.
