Ford Maverick Truck!!

I own a hybrid -- But I tell ya, the worry thing for me --- is still that battery! YOu an get aftermarket rebuilds for about $6,000 -- a lot better than $60,000 -- but still a powerfully expensive part. This is the Achilles tendon of all EVs. Hybrids really do take care of much of the rest of the problems. The plug-in hybrids just move you closer to that $60,000 part.

Jim, I think you hit the sweet spot.
XLT has all I need too.
Back in 2022 we were lucky to get a Maverick order in through our small town Ford dealer.
The 2023 price was up a bit.
But, the “luxury package” was down a bit because Ford eliminated some stuff (constraints?) that we didn’t want anyways. We got the heated seats, and 360 safety features without all the extras that Ford included in 2022. That was my sweet spot.
The “mechanics review” video had some minor stuff that I noticed too, but I worked around.
The door handles are stupid, but easily fixed by eBay for $7 per door. Picture below
I did enclose the rear wheel well on the driver’s side too.
Minor problems…
