First long trip.

Finding an open window with no snow on the Siskiyou pass had us packing in the rain. Took every tent, carpet, accessory we could think of, and headed south. It's a long drive from Eugene to Death Valley, but worth it.
Super Bloom was fading, but many plants, cacti, and insects were still out in all their glory. The desert was alive with people, beautiful weather, and Park Rangers doing their thing. We went to every presentation, and the place came alive. Petroglyphs, hikes, views and even a shower for $4 were the highlights.
We learned that "Campsite Full" is never true, we didn't need nearly as much food and accessories as we thought, that we love cooking outdoors and showing folks our "Sunny."
Took off to Joshua Tree, then on to the Perris Valley teardrop gathering. An experience to not be missed.
What a wonderful life.
