Fender Shelf

So, Valerie went to work in her wood shop and came out with a fender shelf for our trailer.

This is just her first proto type, I think she has a few more ideas she is toying with here.

Made from a single piece of Select Pine with a light stain and varnish/clear coat, she fit them so they matched the curve of the fender. To prevent the fender from getting scratched we used some soft rubber weather stripping which also help keep it from slipping.

I think on the next go round she wants to make the legs a little shorter and hinged so they can fold flat and then use a brown weather strip so it blends better with the wood.

Love it! And really like the idea of making it hinged to fold flat for more compact storage/travel. Mark put his order in with Valerie for one @ the Texan Roundup.
