Do You Doubt How Well Your Tv Charges Your Battery?

Have you ever arrived at your campsite only to find that your TD battery has less charge than when you left home? How can that be? I had the TD connected to the TV and I drove for 5 hours!!....

Well, it may not be your battery's fault NOR your TV's fault. It may be YOUR fault! :)

I made a recent revelation: sometimes, when my TD is plugged in to my TV, the TD really isn't FULLY plugged in to the TV; the plug is connected and the TD lights/blinkers work, but the battery is NOT charging. However, if you fiddle with the plug, the charge going to the TD may increase....

I learned that the connection can be sufficient to connect the lights, but not sufficient to connect the battery charging. (I only discovered this because we installed a new battery charger which has a bluetooth link to an app which shows the charge situation.) So, be sure your cables are plugged in VERY WELL. (Still not sure how you can tell without a voltmeter.)

Also, I learned that the connection/plug between the TV and TD can get dirty. Cleaning it out with a tiny nylon brush increased the charge going to the TD. I also purchased some spray that I will use to further clean the cable connections.

(Now one of you can point me to the thread that fully discusses something I should have known years ago!! :))
