We have enjoyed Fort Clinch many times. We prefer staying on the loop by the river versus the beach. Fernadina Beach is a nice little town. The fort is cool to walk around too.

That is a Rei alcove…which, naturally, they do not make anymore.

A lot of the really good stuff isn't made any more.

That isn't to say that there aren't things today that are...but its essential to keep your eyes open for when your oldie but goodie stuff isn't workie anymore :)

That’s why I bought several when I heard that they were going out of production.

Good idea! But hindsight is 20/20.

I keep hoping Pahaque will rerelase the cottonwood. I'd buy two. With the quality they were making, that would probably outlast me.

But they seem to have embraced only teardrop tents these days. They have a really nice-looking side room tent, but I'm not sure it's worth the price they are asking, and I'm a little cross with them for discontinuing the best teardrop tent ever.

For a while, you coulnd't go to a gathering without seeing at least a half dozen of them. They were amazing, shed rain like water off a duck. They stood firm in heavy winds (if you guy'd them down properly) and were super easy to dry after a wet weekend. I wish I had bought several...

what'd I say above? Oh yah...hindsight is 20/20
