Brake Wire Issue (keep An Eye Out For)

Had the tires off to repack the bearings and saw the wires for the electrical brakes had been worn through with copper wire exposed. The little loop of wire (see pictures) had 'popped out' and was rubbing against the inside wall of the tire which wore through the wire insulation to expose the copper wire.

I didn't take pictures until after I fixed it. I had to cut the worn section of wires and splice the ends together and also added another clip to help keep the wire closer to the frame.

Might be a good idea to do a quick check to see if your wires are rubbing the tire. I hope it isn't happening to anybody else.
