Brake schematic?

Taking Sunnyside to a friends house to adjust brakes, and re pack wheel bearings as a general maintenance/safety step.
I've read all the posts I can find here on brakes, and I would like more information.
I assume they are drum. But are there any schematics / diagrams of the system?
I want to get her out and go camping this weekend, but our drive South from Washington resulted in one wheel being warm, and the other not.
Any guidance is appreciated.

"Sunnyside" is a great name! Sunnyside is a waterfront park in my hometown of Toronto. I learned to sail there at The Toronto Sailing and Canoe Club. It has a lakefront bike/ ped path and a very cool lakefront dance hall left over from the WW2 era where we used to go see bands like the B52s, English Beat, The Pretenders, etc. A happy place indeed.

Yeah, a warm wheel, bummer. Sunnyside is 2 years old and WI is a long ways from the PNW so she's due for her bearings to be repacked. We did that to Dizzy, our 2 year old Airstream before we went south last fall.

Yep, they are drum brakes and there is an inner and outer bearing. Repacking is pretty straight forward process. However, if you are not mechanically inclined, you may want to hire a professional.

I started to make a video and post it on my youtube channel but never got around to finish it. I may do it next time around and then post it. Packing is pretty straight forward but you want to make sure you get the bearing nut torqued down correctly. Don't want to over tighten the bearing and have it fail. Seating them correctly is also important. The inner bearing pops out easy but goes in a little harder.
 
No Pat you're right, our route to bring Dewey now Sunnyside home to the PNW wasn't the shortest but it was the warmest! It was 5 degrees when we left Necedah and 85 degrees when we got to Tallahassee.

Hi Michael,
I see where you have sold your TD and it has been renamed. My husban and I were wondering if you would mind if we would name our TD that we pick up in 16 days the "Do Drop Inn"? When we go camping we love to meet new people and when he first saw your TD name he said he wanted to name ours the Do Drop Inn. I said we couldn't copy someone else's name even if spelled differently. So would it be ok with you now?
 
16 days! You must be very excited. "Do Drop Inn" is a fine name. You don't need our approval but you have it anyway. Have fun.
