It's a good thing anticipation is so highly rated on this forum. Otherwise, it'd be real easy to get cold feet. But I believe everyone when they say actually setting eyes on the new "family member" for the first time is like a dream. And I'm going to enjoy every second of the waiting! :) Diana

Ah, thanks for the advice! Makes perfect sense to me. For the galley we have a Bass Pro Shop version of an easy-up shelter that requires some space in the tow vehicle and may get used only for stops of 3 or more days. I think before I spring for the ARB I'll work on perfecting my tarp hanging...

Thanks for the link to the ARB awning, INN42. I've been looking at a variety of ways to create shade that could be mounted on the truck or on the 560 once we get it. This one bears further investigation, as it's promising for being able to switch it back and forth if need be.

We are Tom & Diana, a couple of camping-crazy kids with a perpetual dream of being on the road. Tent campers and former owners of 2 other trailers, we've been searching for our next (and last, based on what I see about Camp-Inn) dream facilitator. Our requirements: it's gotta fit in the garage...

We plan to order a 560 Raindrop Ultra in the coming days, and are extremely excited to get back to basic camping with a teardrop twist.

How was the noise from the highway? Last time we camped there (in a tent) we heard 18-wheeler traffic almost all night. But you're right; it's a lovely park. :-)
