We camped, finally!

We camped again, finally. Got in a weekend at nearby Oconee State Park which is a favorite of ours. When I went back into coaching, it curtailed our camping the last couple of years. In the middle of track season right now, but we have spring break this week so we got in a few days in the mountains. Great weather & the place was pretty quiet for us and our two dogs. We even got a great site, #18, that backs up to the lake on the loop. Other than a walk on the Lakeside Trail we mainly took it easy. We did do the Easter scavenger hunt they had. We were the 5th place finishers winning free strawberry slushees. Only time we left the park was to get eat an early lunch in nearby Walhalla at the Steakhouse Cafeteria to get their delicious Arabian rooster (fried chicken). Got home, unpacked and left Mary Ellen for another track meet. I’m too old for this, I need to be camping.

That sounds like an idyllic weekend! I'm a bit envious :)
