Made our annual trek to the Sandhills of SC to camp at Lee State Park. It is on of our campgrounds & a pretty relaxing place. We had campsite 4 which is the best one there. Not real close to any other sites, nice shade & plenty of room.
Saturday morning we did some short hikes in the park. Headed into Bishopville for some BBQ & hash at a place we like. SC is small but has 4 different BBQ types & this area is different than where I live. Sunday morning we drove the 5 mile loop road which takes you down to the Lynches River.
Our main reason for being in the area this weekend is to attend the NASCAR race at nearby Darlington. A hot, but fun afternoon & evening at the racetrack.
A big thanks to Van for getting us the pit passes so we could see that up close.
