Sweaters for pots and pans.

Wanted: fabric bags for storing pots, plans, lids. Started with some extra yardage and corduroy for cushioning, but broke a needle on my sewing machine.

A couple of old sweaters and some worn placemats later: solved!

Love it!

I was planning to do the same thing for my 12" frypan & lid plus two round griddles - I've got some old multi-towel sample fabric (the orange towels REI used to sell but I think they discontinued because frankly, it's kind of skanky) - but when I showed Tim, he said: how about a nice plaid? That got me thinking about some thrift store wool kilts I've been collecting....

I also want to make some kind of plate dividers for my plates & bowls to keep them from rattling. Wow! the ones they sell at the store are expensive!

Always nice to meet another sewer!

I bought some flannel sheets and since I really don't like flannel pillow cases I used those to make bags for the pans. Worked good but they are not a beautiful fabric. They can be used as dish towels if necessary.
The sheets don't look nearly as good as they did on the web site.
