RV Organizations

Following up on the discussion regarding Sisters on the Fly, I am wondering what other organizations people signed up for. I have been lurking on a couple of site, Tearjerkers, Teardrops & Tiny Trailers and Teardrops of Oregon and Washington. These organization look like they have some great outings and it costs nothing to belong. I know Betsy belongs to the first two since I have seen postings by her. What do others think, do you belong, have you participated?

Also, in addition to these groups, what other RV memberships do people have i.e. Good Sam, KOA, Passport America, etc.?

Are there other groups out there that people would recommend that I have not found yet?

Thanks

I occupy space on this forum, but I associate with Camptn.com,
which is a camping forum that likes to do a monthly group camp in mostly Middle Tennessee.

Joan, we just joined TOW this year and went to 2 or 3 gatherings as well as IRC. We had great fun, the people are very friendly, and we felt safe letting Katie run around the camp with her new friends. Hopefully we'll be able to get a Camp-Inn Northwest gathering together next summer too.
These, of course, are free memberships.

In addition, we purchased a membership with KM resorts. The own 8 resorts in Washington State, and are affiliated with Resorts of Distinction and Campgrounds of America (nationwide networks), so you can stay at any one of these for $0 to $10 a night respectively. These are very nice during winter months because they will have a clubhouse and lots of amenities, but during good weather we would prefer remote wilderness camping.

The forums I follow: Teardrop and Tiny Travel trailer and tearjerks. Both offer a wide variety of information on all subjects camping related and non-camping related.

Evan,

Thanks for the info on KM resorts, I'll have to give one of their locations a try since they offer a free three day trial. I'd be more interested if they had something closer to Seattle.

Is it possible to put a links section on the site? Maybe restrict it to free membership groups so you don't get inundated.

Mewton, KM has two resorts in the Spokane area. We stayed at Ponderosa Pines twice last year. It's great for the kids because there is so much to do. Although KM doesn't own any resorts near Seattle, there are several ROD (Resorts of Distinction) near the Seattle area. KM members can stay at these for free. We have done this as well.

Yes, we can do a link section.
Give me a little feedback at the following link, and I'll put it up.

Besides this forum, we are members of St Croix Tearjerkers and Illinois Tearjerkers. We are on the forums of Tearjerkers and Teardrops & Tiny Trailers. There are many great people out on these forums and I feel all are welcome to join any in any of the gatherings listed.
