In case anyone was getting concerned that there isn't enough cast iron being cleaned, seasoned and/or put into use, fret not. Here's a couple 2013 additions, some that have been tested and are ready to go!

Plett! (Western Importing Co. - made by Griswold) (Made, and ate, these today :) )

Hi Jenn. I know, I know, just too much fun! We celebrated our 33rd anniversary up in Wisconsin near the Horicon Marsh in a great, old B&B in Mayville. Snowshoed the marsh and hit some great old antique stores/malls in the area. We know how to live, right?

How do you flip the cakes in the first one? How much of that do you take camping?

Forgot to answer - I use a couple of thin knitting needles, the same used for flipping the aebleskiver of course.

Ken and Peggy have you ever weighed all your cast iron? Hefty, Hefty! Happy anniversary. We hope to visit Horicon marsh this summer and do a little bird watching.

It's getting pretty heavy, I know that! Thanks for the anniversary wishes, btw. We're planning on getting back to Horicon ourselves - I have heard about it over the years, a major stop on the route of migrating geese and ducks.

Wow Ken, you are really getting quite a collection. I like the fact that you "save" em, then you actually try them out. I am not into salvage. I just like to cook, and sad to say haven't done much of that lately. Congrats you two on the Anniverary.

Thanks George. Trying to just pick up pieces that are a bit different than the usual, but then I'll see a nice old skillet for cheap and can't help myself. I may be giving iron away as bday gifts... How're you doing?
