OK, so I do not have any camping trips to put in but, how do you get those maps in your signature and what do the different colors mean?

I saw in another post that an I-Phone app was used for this. Is there a similar Android app?

Hi there Jim,

I'm a newbie too and just working on learning the forum site.

Evan is a great source of help on the forum.

His Feb 21st post from earlier this year details this. I found it while searching
Get your own State Map for your signature page! It was in Adventures & Excusrsions.
Here is the url. Highlight it. Copy. paste it in the URL WEBSITE ADDRESS box at top just below tabs.

Get your own State Map for your signature!

Then this is the url for the site that has the map

Visited States Map Generator

I just got a map on my page done yesterday. We dont have a hoped for 560 yet. Looking for used or maybe end up ordering. I have just colored in the states we've lived in over the last 46yrs! Backpacked or little trailer or pop up years ago.

It took quite awhile getting a white pin on the map that shows members location. Put in your zipcode.

Good Luck
John & Camille

Does driving through a state without stopping to camp count? Or do you need to spend a night camping in a state to put it on the map?

That is entirely up to your discretion, and please don't let anyone else tell you otherwise. If you took in a tourist attraction, stopped at a park, filled up the gas tank, dropped a few greenbacks at a diner, spent an hour or two doing nothing, or simply drove from one state line to the next...you've spent time in that state and nobody can say differently. You've seen the terrain and experienced the energy, and now it is up to you how your mark your slate.

BEAR
I'm not counting the states from WI to WA just because I drove through them bringing the trailer home. I'm not counting the days towing it home either.

But I do agree it is entirely up to each person.
