LP Gas Tank Cylinder Collar

Could be a real dumb question but… so what! We are looking to buy a larger LP gas tank and wondering if the current cylinder collar can holder a larger tank. The collar is 6” tall (from where it’s attached to the tongue).

Yes, what your picture shows is the CI-supplied 11 Lb cylinder.

A 20 Lb also fits, this is the very common size people use on bbq grills, exchangeable at Blue Rhino locations, etc. Yes, it has nearly double the capacity, and double the weight.

I use a 20 pounder and use a couple bungees in addition to the collar.
