Hello all...

Greetings to all. We have just joined the forum after having taken our new 500 Special on it's first camping trip. We have been lurking and enjoying this forum for some time and have decided to join. This looks to be an exciting new period in life, one we are happy to experience.

Alan

Well, Hello all you fellow Camp Inn'ites...
My name is Susan and I am Alan's wife. We are both really excited , pleased, and already super-enjoying our 500 1 Door Special even though we've only been out once in the 2 weeks since we have taken shipped delivery of it. The enclosed carrier brought it to us here in central Florida in beautiful condition on January 29, 2013 at 8am . It fits beautifully in our 2 car garage along side of our Toyota Tacoma 5 speed 4 cylinder which tows it easily!!!!!! We (I) had several reasons for choosing the 500 model. Any future purchasers of Camp Inn trailers please inquire with me and perhaps I can be of valuable insight on what is really needed / practical in a tear drop travel trailer!!! Looking forward to posting a million posts on the forum!
Thanks for reading, Susan Flake

Welcome, Alan & Susan.
Looks like I'll have to get a new '1,000,000 posts badge' ready... :)

Welcome. A 500, suspect very few of that model are made a year. We all look forward to your adventures.

Alan and Susan, welcome from The Villages. Glad to hear we have another CI neighbor. Check out the Gathering Forum for info on a little gathering we are planning over at Jetty Park at Port Canaveral from March 21 to 24. We'd love to hear your stories so far and we have a few for you.

Thank you all for your warm welcome. Our first adventure out a week ago to Manatee Springs State Park in Chiefland,Florida was good fun. Sites #72 and #73 are quite nice, in fact we will be there again in about 7 weeks. On the drive over we slowed down considerably in a school zone and the crossing guard yelled, "Hey, I'm gonna get me one of those!!" Unfortunately our Camp Inn brochures were in the galley drawer so I couldn't toss him one...from now on I'll be sure to have a few in the truck glove compartment!
Thanks for reading.

We will be meeting you all soon sometime, I'm sure. We can't attend Merritt Island Jetty Park as we will be at the Ochlockonee State Park a few days earlier. Thanks for inviting us to join you. Our trips we will be mostly mid-week adventures and not on weekends.
Susan and Alan

Well hello there. I see we have another happy camper (pun intended). Glad to have you with us on the forum. You're going to have a blast with your CI in the wilderness...and the merry pranksters here.

By the way, like your name, Susan.

Camp On,

Sue and Jim

Hi Susan and Alan! Welcome to the forum. This is a great place to ask ANY questions related to Camp Inn Tear Drops, places to go, etc.

More importantly, the people on here are fantastic!

Got that right! Make sure you plan a trip up north...be sure to visit the factory, it's worth the visit. If you need another excuse, this summers crossroads of America gathering is the largest gathering if teardrops....tnttt.com is where the unofficial planning is taking place...

The gathering is not camp inn specific, but God willing, there will be at least one other CI there :)
