What is the best method for adjusting the flame on the Camp Inn stove?

How far should the spring loaded bolts be in front of the propane inlet? Is there a way from just looking at the flame to see if they are adjusted correctly?
 
You should have a blue corona of flame around the flame kernel. No corona is too lean and a very large fuzzy corona is too rich. If the flame kernels are jumping off the burners they are for sure too lean.

Turning the bolt out leans it and turning it in richens it. Cranking it in and out you will be able to see this corona get bigger and smaller.
