I like that. We found something similar in a little shop in Bar Harbor but it doesn't have the rachet. Thanks!

That looks similar to the one we have (Kamenstein perfect-tear). We like it a lot, but soon found that in breezy conditions, even with the ratchet, the towels loosen, and eventually "unwind". That's why Jim made a little weight on a chain to drape over the roll. It seems to do the trick!

Since this photo, he has improved on his prototype, with better detailing and a coat of varnish.
