    Can I tow a Raindrop w/ a 2012 Acura RDX ??

Denise, I have a 2011 Honda Pilot and discovered the difference between the 2011 and 2012 models. I think it also pertains to the MDX. Honda eliminated the extra radiator cooler and some other tow package items that were standard. My dealer said you could bring the 2012 model up to the the 2011...

    Roof Rack Roof Rack

Joe B, check out the picture in the General Photo Forum called "Raindrop found in the wild" around Sept 2012. That Raindrop has a roof rack and Benn used it to attach various awning solutions. It worked very well for him. Mike

Sarah, as Paul Harvey would say: "Now for the rest of the story." Maybe at next year's CICO we can all share our "moments"! Ours had something to do with the Mall of America parking garage.... Mike

No doubt in my mind that Craig will have you waterproofed. He is awesome--doesn't give up until he has it fixed.

The problem when we have the insert in is that we have to use the back flap to get in and out of the screen room. The only time we used it was when bugs were a real problem like at Lake Barkley and a couple of places in Alaska. It did work great however. I had made a flap that also went under...

Jenn, I sewed velcro to a six inch piece of tent fabric, folded it in half and then sewed it to the tent sides and top. The insert then velcros to the strip--this way you can still use the tent side if you wanted to set it up separately. The first one I made didn't work. I made a whole...

Our NB breeze worked great for Alaska. Although we took 3 tents (side tent, PahaQue, plus the Breeze, we didn't use anything but the NB once we left KY. For overnight stops we didn't use anything but were lucky that we had very few rainy nights. When we had one it was off to McOffice for...

The Loop was great. We only got half way around because we ran into a herd of bufs that would not let us through and we had reservations for the pitch fork fondu, good but they wouldn't let me hold the pitchfork! I wouldn't recommend the drive from there through the oil fields...

    Long Haul summer trip

I am having a flashback of Lucile Ball and Desi Arnez in Long Long Trailer!! We used to keep a copy in the motorhome to remind us not to collect rocks. We had camping friends who she was always picking up rocks so we gave it to her. If you haven't seen it, it is worth renting.

    2013 - Alaska or bust!

This will be our last post in the 2013 - Alaska or Bust Topic. It's been a wonderful journey but now it's time to get home. We actually spent 54 days in Alaska itself! And we still feel like we only scratched the surface. Guess we'll have to do it again. The total trip will be just short of 4...
