The red line is exactly where the support arm is located. It swings fully from side to side when the table is set up so there is no place on that surface of the dining table to fit a towel holder. Perhaps look at mounting under the cooler stand table next to the fire extinguisher. Cary

Casey, The 23.7" measurement is when the table is folded open. When folded in half and stowed in the galley it is half that width. The support arm has to swing the full width of the table so anything mounted to the bottom of the table has to be removed before setting up the table. Cary
