    Cooler Cover

Well, we've tested Frankenstein's cooler cover. Seems to help. The big test starts today as we wind our way to CICO by the longest route possible (we get side-tracked at lot). I'll give a full (and remarkably silly) report on our return sometime in early October. Later and Camp on! Sue

    Hello from southeast Wisconsin!

Your order is in. Well done! As I tell many of the new owners, your world is about to explode. Oh, the adventures you will have! Congratulations. And don't fret about the name - she'll tell you in time. Now sit back and enjoy the pics as they come in...and start shopping! Cabellas and Bass...

    Cooler Cover

We've been having trouble keeping ice in the cooler on long travel days (and if you ask Jenn, she'll tell you we do lots of those). Usually, we can get three days out of a block, but lately they have lasted barely two. Hotter days or lower ice temps, don't know the cause, but need some...

    Beeswax on New Lodge DO

Hello, George! Glad you're back on. I agree; Griswold, Wagner and Lodge are your best bets for quality cast iron. I wasn't so sure about the new Lodge product, but if you say it's good, then good it is. Don't let this go to your head.... If you show up to CICO, our usual "friendly" banter...

Registering our teardrop 550 at the DMV

Hooo..hooo...Deb. One of the first things Dad taught my sibs and me was "Pick Your Fights" and you chose a doosy. Yet, in all the requirements he listed for a fight, a clear chance of winning was not one of them. If you feel this strongly (and obviously you do), carry on the battle. Abuse...

    NAME THAT DROP

She isn't the first one to refer to the TD as the dog house. We were at a gas station in Carthage, Mo.(of Precious Moments fame)and a fellow remarked to Jim, "You must be in trouble a lot to have to drag your dog house along with you." Gotta love those down-home folks. Camp on, Sue and...

    So. Cal. Teardrop Meet-up

Jim has a 90 year old mother, who gave up her driver's license at 89...when she T-boned an SUV and totaled her Mustang. Did we say "gave up"? Actually the insurance company dumped her like a red-headed step child. And - believe it or not - the State of California, in it's infinite, bureaucratic...

    So. Cal. Teardrop Meet-up

But seriously, maybe a family member or dear friend could step in for you once in a while and give you a break. Jim and I have had lots of experience with aging parents (as almost all of our age group has) and even though you love them past reason, you do need some alone time. You need to get to...

One last trip before school starts

And Teacher Work Days - do you have those SC? Several days during the school year, the teachers have to attend seminars on how to teach (didn't they already go to school for that?) and the parents are left scrambling for child care. Lovely - not! (And don't get me going on that subject. My kids...

    So. Cal. Teardrop Meet-up

Pat..... Where are you trying to talk your mother into going? (Don't mind this. It's just me - and Jim - and our sick sense of humor. I just couldn't resist. That line was just sitting out there. All alone. Tempting me to feats of indiscretion unknown in polite, politic circles.) Sue...

    Itinerary Nw Round-up 2015

That's the up-theenth person asking you to show up at NW Roundup, Frank. Aren't you feeling guilty yet? Jim asks, "Not even a drive-by?" That's a phrase an dazzling urbanite like myself wouldn't bandy about in such a cavalier manner, but Jim always was the devil-may-care type. All part of his...

    Hello from Austin, TX

Hey there! Good for you! Jim and I will be at CICO and am looking forward to meeting you. Jim says, "I'm sure you'll be easy to spot - the shiny new CI". All of us dusty ones will be waiting to shake your hand. See ya there and enjoy the maiden voyage. Camp on, Sue and Jim says

    New members in STL

By the way, anywhere near Springfield, Mo? There is the mother ship of all Bass Pro's there. Takes up a square city block and fun galore! Filled to the max with outdoor toys, toys, toys. Jim says, "They even have a five star restaurant so you never have to leave." Waaa-Hooo! Our idea of...
