    OTA TV install and test

Report on results from the Lone Pine Campground in Colchester VT (just north of Burlington). The Brewers Festival was great. The campground has 246 campsites of which only 45 have cable, they are the large 50 amp full service Premium sites. Which is typical, 20% have cable at an extra charge and...

    OTA TV install and test

Additional info: The reason I needed a 110 connection for the powered amplifier is because the TV in my 2008 Raindrop (early first flat panel) did not have a powered USB connection. If it did and it was used then everything would run off the internal 12 volt system. Most current model flat...

    OTA TV install and test

This update is for the KOA campground North of Herkimer NY. The KOA has cable in all of its cabins and two rows for class A Motorhomes. We were in a very nice water front site on the West Canada Creek. The majority of the campground does not have access. We were able to pull in 3 of the 6 local...

    OTA TV install and test

OTA HD TV as I have it installed needs the 110 to power the amp which gives it the 50 mile range. When we camp we normally are in a KOA campground in a site with water and electric. You can use an inexpensive 12 V to 110 converter when you do not have shore power, so you could be in a tent site...

    OTA TV install and test

Over The Air television - This is to share some results of a test of a MOHU leaf 50 HD antenna. It is a simple install of an almost invisible antenna which is similar to a military design called a mudflap. The antenna is about a 12 x 12 inch unit which is paper thin. Using the parts that came...

LED bulb replacements for the running lights??

This write up is to identify sources for LED replacements for all of the bulbs on the outside of the teardrop. They are all being used on a 2008, Raindrop 560 Ultra. The first project and the easiest is replacing the side running lights on our raindrop that takes 6 LED replacements I got the...

Fridge / Cooler Question On Cooler/refrigerator

To answer your question with the hatch closed in hot weather like you get in the summer in the Southwest the frig will fault and shut down till it gets recycled. Recommend that the frig is place in the tow vehicle and run off the 12 volt system. We had ours fault in September south of the...

    Stickers

Rather than stickers we sort of went with pins & patches. The patches are sown onto a blanket. The pins are either put on a cloth rectangle which is hung in front of the air unit or the vest of our bear. The cloth currently has 65 pins and the bear has about another 20 or so. JimH

LED bulb replacements for the running lights??

I ordered two packs of 4 led bulbs to upgrade my 560 Ultra (2008) and these went in with no issues and work fine. They also are brighter then the standard filament bulbs, and will last a lot longer. Definitely a worth while upgrade to the running/marker lights. JimH

    Food storage

Hello Birder526: I would recommend the fridge in the tow vehicle and the cooler in a cosy in the teardrop. Because with the hatch closed there is no ventilation an the fridge will fault. This happen to us when visiting the Grand Canyon a few years ago. This works really well if you have a...
