We have been taking our trailer on a lot of off-road excursions with more to come... (hence why it is so dang dirty! Sorry about that) The fenders hang down just a bit too low and can hit rocks, etc. when on the trails. Talking with Cary, he gave me the idea to modify our existing fenders...

Much needed for the sun. Although it is extremely windy out there. Like super bad. I made a bunch of rebar stakes to tether the canopies to the ground which worked great.

This is our second year out there ;) The sky is amazing. We go when it is a new moon so no light pollution. Our friend has a nice telescope as well, so we got to see some very cool stuff. Not much to do out there other than hit the Fields Station for some very, very good milkshakes!

Hi Seth! No serious injuries, but some bumps and bruises... Definitely sore for a while. The CX-5 is one of my favorite vehicles I have had. We love it. It has a bit more tow capacity than the 2013 Rav4 I had. Fit and finish, feel, everything is just so refined. It is a great vehicle for sure!

Group camp out a couple weeks back. Also have a new 2022 Mazda CX-5 for the 550. My Rav4 got T-boned and totaled unfortunately.

Have not had a chance to get out and about in the 550 for a while. We are very excited to get back into winter camping though! Got out this last weekend on the Crooked River for an overnighter and some fly fishing. Did not disappoint.

I used a foam pad the first go around and on the second I used a wool pad. Both similar results. Shine comes when you use a clean terry cloth or cloth pad to really remove all the residue. I may have come to the conclusion though that the shine just wont stay. This trailer does not stay on...

To say we did it mostly. Our state has so many different biomes, we enjoy experiencing all of them. :) The goal was to get as far away from light pollution as possible. It was a new moon and we wanted to stargaze. The smoke threw a little wrench in that, but was still quite impressive viewing...

Another crazy group camp. This time in the Alvord Desert of Oregon. We had 4 teardrops and a full size camper out there. Great time. Hot and smoky though! Was an experience for sure.

Got out with some family and friends who all have teardrops for a little group teardrop camp :) Got a bit of rain on one of the days and our canopy with walls turned into a great hangout spot. We used a propane Mr Buddy heater in there and that made it ultra cozy.

Hit the 550 with the Griots G9 and some Blue Magic polish this evening. Cleans up nice.

She likes laying under the cabinet overhang :) Little cubby for her. Or directly on the heater vent by our heads or right on top of my head thinking my pillow is her pillow. She is a fairly small dog.

Decided to leave the snow for some rain ;) Took a weekend trip to the coast with our new pupper. She loved it!

Also known as a "Camp Robber". I had never seen a bird (aside from french fry crazed parking lot seagulls), be so friendly and timid towards humans. He was constantly landing on me and just hanging around camp.

The very friendly bird in my hand is a "Gray Jay" / "Canada Jay".
