Rain! Hopefully, it helps with the brush fires we’ve had in the area. Especially the one I have to drive through to work.

70s & 80s this week which is closer to normal for us in April. Getting pretty dry here though. Burning ban in effect across the Palmetto State.

Last night as my track meet was ending around 9:30 pm and I was boarding the bus to head back to Due West, SC where my school is located, I wished the meet had been on Saturday as originally scheduled. Now that is Saturday and over 90 here, I’m glad it was last night. And what is Due West, SC...

Cooler week for us but nothing like some of you. Just about the last of having to wear a jacket or sweatshirt for the spring unless it rains. I was surprised at having to add a layer last night in Columbia for a track meet. Usually, Columbia is hotter than the surface of the sun.

Unpacked, cleaned up and ready to be loaded for the next excursion.

Not much rain here either. Winter is usually pretty wet in Upstate SC. Lake Hartwell is done 7-8 feet right now.

Rain, then rain with wind. Next the sun came out. Since we backed up 2 miles of Lake Hartwell behind our site, we had wind. Then really windy. And still pretty breezy at 9:47 pm.

Mary Ellen and I helped hide 2000 Easter Eggs and then helped herd kids during the hunt.

Made it Sadlers creek State Park until Monday. Discovered the GFI outlet in our carport had been tripped and now we need a new battery for Jeremiah. Fan not opening so obviously it is not running either. Trying to figure out if the fan problem is a byproduct of the battery’s demise.

3 days of school and one track meet until 2026 camping begins for us.
