Husband and I have been tent campers all our lives, still are but enjoy the luxury of hard sides and ability to throw our legs out to stand up vs crawling upright 
Purchased our first teardrop in 2020, spent 6 weeks straight right out the gate putting almost 11k miles on it with our two dogs. We are looking forward to taking possession of a new Ultra 560 in a few weeks and continuing the journey in “the doghouse”.
Saw our first Camp-Inn trailers on a trip to the Boundary Waters and started dreaming and configuring until this past August when we sent in the deposit.
