SUV Off-Road Filed under kewl accessories to CI

I saw some info on this a few weeks ago, but no pictures yet then....looks pretty nice. What I learned then though was that in order to keep the price down, the battery is on the smaller side. If I remember correctly, it was about a 53KWH LiFePo4, and the range was in the 200+ mile range.

    New here

Welcome! Glad to see another EV TV. Anxious to hear how your 5 week adventure back home transpired, and how you went about planning your route, and charging stops. I only have one camping trip with our EV TV under my belt so far, and it went well too, but will have another one coming up in a few...

Morning Cup Of Coffee And Weather

When we built our home over 40 yrs ago, the lawn was completely covered with Kentucky Blue Grass sod.....that was the best it ever looked. With 50ft deciduous trees surrounding the place, once they leafed out in the spring, that was the end of the all day sun that grass wants to have. I tried...

    Tongue Mounted Bike Rack?

I'll try to remember to take some pics the next time I have everything hooked up on the new truck. The old was a VW Passat TDI, and the bike rack was on the back of the TD with that vehicle, and a dual extension hitch would not have worked on that TV due to the TV tongue weight limit.

    Tongue Mounted Bike Rack?

That's what I have gone to with the new truck. I wanted to get the bikes off the back of the TD so we could more easily get into the galley on the road, so I got the dual hitch extension so I could put them between the truck and camper. The rack we have has the oval loops that the bike tires...

550 / 560 Go big or go home

Yeah, I was thinking of you this morning when they were showing all the flooding in Indiana....called it a 1000 yr flood. Yikes! Our caretaker sent me a picture two days ago after they had some strong wind storms in AZ on Sunday night. We've had a couple power outages here this summer, and I...

    WI / MI Big Trip

Yes, even though I tried to explain the enormity of it all to you when you were first inquiring about making the trip there earlier this summer, it's really difficult to do justice to it without actually taking it all in personally. Your departure and my arrival pretty much coincided, so I'm...

Update Deposit sent - now, build pictures!

Makes me wonder.....has there ever been a TD ordered with every option available added (of course except the ones that would preclude a different one from being added). Cary?

    Silverado EV TV experience update

My first service went great! However when I tried to get service at my local Chevy dealer, they said they didn't have a strong enough lift when I told them it was a Silverado EV, so I had to go 25miles south to the next closest dealer. They couldn't have been nicer. First service was free on...

    Silverado EV TV experience update

It looks pretty cool, and if it were built by someone with Craig & Cary's work ethic, and engineering prowess, and would work as nicely as depicted in the videos on a long term basis without the problems that Sweeney described, it would be a nice replacement for a second home to follow the...

    Silverado EV TV experience update

My research found that tire wear on the EV's is about 20-40% higher than on conventional vehicles, and no surprise, a lot that depends on driving habits, but a lot also depends on the weight. So being pretty much the heaviest EV out there other than the Hummer, I expect tire replacement costs...

    Silverado EV TV experience update

No, I didn't get it until the end of April, so not too much cold exposure at this point, but I'm sure like most vehicles exposed to that kind of cold, it won't offer anything close to it's best range. If you pre-warm the vehicle before you take off, while it's still plugged in, both the battery...

    Silverado EV TV experience update

There has been a lot of progress in battery technology, and in bringing their costs down, as we have seen with the sogens, and stand alone LiFePo batteries in the last few years. The Chinese seem to have found the recipe for bringing these savings into their automotive offerings as well, but...
