    LEDs for Interior/Galley Lights?

What sort of upgrade did you do? I still have the halogen bulbs (Size G4). The fixtures are really nice but new bulbs that use less power would also be great.

    LEDs for Interior/Galley Lights?

So this is a really old thread to revive but wondering if anyone has recently replaced/updated their bulbs with LED bulbs? Seems we've had a lot of advances in LED technology over the past 10 years.

    2026 Camping Gear

I think that's what I had in mind as I was thinking of how to organize it. I was a boy scout till I went off to college - really left me with a love of the outdoors and lots of skills to make it more comfortable. It's a happy coincidence that the perfect fit in that space is unlikely to be too...

    2026 Camping Gear

I put all my kitchen "stuff" - flatware, spatulas, spoons, knives, tools, cleaning supplies, spices. etc in the 3 drawers - still have a good bit of space to fill. One thing I like is that it is modular in the sense that I can (and usually do) move my kitchen to outside the galley. I use a...

    2026 Camping Gear

I have been wanting to declutter and organize my galley for some time now. I decided to get these Flex Stack Pack 3 drawer “tool box”. Fits perfectly.

    How to drain water tanks?

All this talk about the putrid smell coming from the tanks and the difficulty getting rid of it makes me wonder if it's worth it to even have the sink. I choose not to with my build and don't regret it. Instead I use a very low tech solution for my water needs. This to store the water...

Check Out This Sweet Shower/potty Side Tent

If I am camping somewhere without any showers, I usually don't have too many close neighbors. I'd prefer to get the water further away from the camper than a side tent to avoid having a muddy spot right outside the door. I use a rechargeable shower pump. This will fit inside a jerry can...

I Need Some Kind Of Air Pump/compressor

Once you start down the rabbit hole, batteries seem to accumulate- I have about 5 or so. They charge fairly quickly. My latest battery is also a beast- flexvolt 15aH. Switches between 20 and 60 volts depending on the tool. It came with the chainsaw. It’s usually good for a weekend of big...

I Need Some Kind Of Air Pump/compressor

FWIW, I’ve fallen into the Dewalt tool/man toy ecosystem. It starts with a cordless drill and from there goes on and on - air compressor, impact driver, fan, 20 colt chainsaw, reciprocating saw and my latest toy is the 60 volt chainsaw- this beast is the thing to have when out in the forest -...

With recreational cannabis so widespread now, I am wondering if "Moontrance" is a new strain I haven't heard of?

    Leveling Jack Nut Came Loose

That does sound like a good way to go about it. The impact driver is effortless and quick so the noise factor at least is short lived however it has more oomph than is really called for.

    Leveling Jack Nut Came Loose

I started using a cordless drill to raise and lower the jacks when I first got the teardrop. This worked pretty well up until I was a little careless one day and instead of lowering the jack, the drill took off and smacked my hand against the trailer pretty good - enough to run get an xray to...

Pure Sine Wave Versus Modified Sine Wave For Electric Space Heater?

So I got a 1000 watt inverter for Christmas and took it out this weekend for the first time. It worked well to briefly run the ceramic heater but was better suited in terms of energy consumption with the electric throw blanket. I also supplemented the heat with a water bottle. We were dispersed...

    Overland Expo Featured Products

Another option that I am fond of using-particularly when the weather is warmer is Kelty tarps - I started with the 12 foot then the 16 foot and lastly the 20 foot. 20 foot is colossal and I do t think I’d recommend it. However the other 2 are great for protection against rain and sun without...
