What Amp do I want

To hook up to a 15a outlet all you need is a standard extension cord. A 30a outlet is bigger (kind of like a dryer cord). You will need an 30a to 15a adapter (very cheap) to plug in.

If you have the choice, go for the 15a.
However, the adapter is a good thing to have, as many campsites only have the 30a (for large RVs).

Thanks Evan - I never have gotten electric issues straight. And I think we will pick up an adaptor just in case. The first 3 campgrounds do have 15a so that is good.

It is my experience, if the CG has a 30 amp, it will have a 15/20 amp recep as well. Can't speak to a 50 amp though.

The campground we went to had 30 amp recepticle but they sold a 15 am converter for $3. So now we are set and didn't have to go shopping.
