Just got back from Camano Island during the Seattle Snow Weekend Special.

No snow at Camano at the State Park. A little rainy, blustery, but sun shined also. Could see the Seattle Glow at night fun..
Excellent park will definitely go back for more trips.

Glow behind tree is the Big city, Everett or Seattle dunno which, but glowing it was..

Fun trip, quick & easy, 1:40 from Seattle or less.. and good bundles of wood for $5 not the $7 for kindling that is now appearing more and more..

Great pictures, Frank. Loved the Madronas. Looks like your site was just across the road from the water - do you remember your site number?

Looks like a beautiful spot. Skagit Valley is just amazing, and I love driving through there, but have never heard of Camano Island before. We head up to Anacortes to set sail...dad keeps his boat up there....but I haven't got out to look around the area too much. Need to take some time to do that one of these days.

Thanks for sharing your trip with us!

Kathy, most in the lower loop have a good view, that was site 9. No one else was there when we got there.. I dibs Site 9 if we arrive at the same time... otherwise it was site 17..heheh...joking... It was nice to sit and watch the weather go by.

Yes was one of the better sites, no power, so it keeps the big boys out for the most part. Lots of hiking trails.. and of course the beach. Several Eagles in the trees there.. just nice a quiet..

Oh Frank...is that the Lodge grill you have there? I have that on my wish list. How do you like it? I have heard really good things.

Hmm... I just happened across the later posts. Thought they would show up in the active posts like... apologies..

Yes, Lodge grill, really like it, goes through half a bag of charcole, but well worth it...

Not a Cobb Grill, was looking at them, but finally settled on this one, KISS seemed to come into play...
