Towing with a convertible

Does anyone tow with a convertible? Anyone have experience towing with a convertible?

I have a hitch on my SUV, but I'm debating putting one on my convertible, too. I'm sure the V6 can take it, but I'm wondering if anyone has any warnings about doing it.

(Sebring 2000 convertible)

I don't think 1000 lb is enough, unless that's the rating for a trailer without brakes. In that case there might be a higher rating for one with brakes.

Al,

I am puzzled by this. Having seen several customers towing with Sebring convertibles I did some research. Everything I find lists your car with a 2000lb towing capacity. You may need to dig into it further to find out why you are seeing a 1000lb rating.

looks like you can get a hitch to tow 2,000.....

I don't need the answer, rifght now. I know my SUV can tow a 550.
