Itinerary Tears By The River #7 (tbtr7)

Discussion in 'Gatherings' started by jerry and tina, Mar 6, 2014.

  1. The success of the Tears by the River has caused us to make a change for this year. The challenge is to try and accommodate everyone into the River loop. We find this loop perfect for our gathering; accept it has become too small. Last year we were not able to get everyone that wanted to attend in our loop. This forced some into the other part of the park and caused a separation from the group. So we ask your understanding in trying something a little different to try and keep us all together.

The Park has graciously reserved the River Loop for us and is also allowing us to double up. They have not done this in the past and because of the quality of our group they are extending us this courtesy. So I invited the Ranger and Aunt Betty/Uncle Gene for dinner ;smile; (They will let us know later if they will be able to make dinner?

Here is what we have decided.

Jerry and I paid for all 20 sites for Friday and Saturday nights. This is the only way we were be allowed to double up. We need to "own" the loop for those 2 nights. The park is allowing us to double up, once we have over 20 campers, without having to pay for the second trailer on a site. (This is VERY nice of them).

    Those who double up will split the $16.00 per night fee. That is the advantage for doubling up. It will be cheaper but you get to share the neighbors snoring. ;oh;

So ...That was the long, this is the short. Each camper will need to send us $32.00 covering Friday and Saturday nights. Those needing to double up will get refunds at the Park from us.

Jerry and I thank you for the support of our gathering and with a few changes we hope we can make this the best Tears by the River yet.

Please let us know your intentions ASAP and we will IM our address to send your check for $32.00 to us.

Also note … those of you, who want to camp earlier and/or later than the Friday/Saturday dates, please go online to reserve those extra days.

TBTR has only had one set meal and that was for Saturday night potluck at 6 in the shelter (the time of 6pm is d/t getting dark earlier). Group picture prior to meal.

It sounds like some would like to have a group breakfast on Saturday morning and that is ok with us. Those that want to participate, please feel free to join in.
Not sure what time you would like to have this????
This is also a big garage sale weekend around the area and some are up and out early and others like to use this weekend to just kick back and relax/unwind and sleep in.

I have never posted a meal listing but if you would like to post what you are planning to help others plan accordingly, I am open to trying to keep an updated list for all. Follow this on Tearjerkers.net

  4. Jenn this year the park is letting us double up on sites, thus we can hold up to 40 trailers. We are up to 24 at current count.
Looking like another great turnout :)....

  10. Jerry & I want to thank all you wonderful people for helping make it another great TBTR weekend.

I think over the course of the weekend we had 25 teardrops, 1 van and 1 tent.

It was nice to visit with established friends and make some new friends. And we didn't let the rain at the beginning of the weekend dampen any spirits.

Ranger permitting, we will attempt to put together TBTR #8 September11-13.
