Hi everyone. I am new to the forum. My husband and I are jeepers and looking for options to camp with 2 adults, and 2 kids (10 and 13). We really want a campinn, but not sure where to have the kids sleep other than a tent. All guidance appreciated., Thank you, jen and joel

If the kids are shorter than 5' tall, in the CampInn model 560, the couch converts into bunk beds.

Otherwise, I've heard of people using a tent, like an "SUV" type tent, where if you are concerned the kids might want to do late night adventures, you orient the opening to the teardrop door--so they have to climb over you to get out of the tent.

Another thought--the Northern Breeze tent is a fairly popular tent with CampInn owners, because of its size and versatility. You could have the teardrop enclosed almost completely (except for the hitch) in the Northern Breeze, AND the kids in the tent as well.

Nothing beats going to a gathering, and talk to teardrop owners, and see their configurations, and how it all works. Over on the left above are links to tearjerkers and t&ttt; teardrop gatherings are planned and discussed on those forums quite often; hopefully you'll find one close enough to attend.

Also, CampInn could get you in touch with existing owners who have similar needs, and/or owners near you to go check out a CI if you haven't seen one in person yet.

Well, I guess you could have the kids sleep in the teardrop and you in the tent.

Kids would love that, but I don't think so:)

I like that idea of facing the tent door to the teardrop door. I know in my day we would have just been waiting for our parents to go to sleep so we could go teepee creeping around the campground. We never camped though.

We used to give our kids a sippy cup full of Benadryl and when they nodded off, into the trunk they went. They both ran away as teenagers.

Ahhhh, the trunk. What a great place to keep them out of trouble. I'm sorry they ran away, if you are? When mine were teenagers I prayed every night when I went to bed. Please God, let these kids just grow up and get the hell out of my house. LOL

Oh man, let me stop laughing and I'll think of something smart to say.

Jim's still chuckling, but he did manage to observe," Obviously you didn't increase the dose as the kids got bigger."

    The man is sick.
