Terry and I became the proud new owners of 2008 Raindrop #282 Ultra 560 yesterday! We made the trip down to Louisville, KY to meet her wonderful owner Pat and finalize the deal. Pat and her husband bought #282 new in November 2008. This was her husband's dream camper which they enjoyed for about 2 years prior to him passing away. Pat is a real sweetheart and we know it was a difficult moment for her to watch us pull away with the camper in tow. We have promised to take very good care of it. The camper has not seen any use in the past 2 years. It is in great condition and we are delighted that we were given the opportunity to bring her home to Minnesota. So today we will start to spruce her up a bit! Some shining up in and out is on the agenda. And Monday morning we'll be calling CampInn with an order of some items we would like. We named her "SimplifyInn" which kind of describes the progression of our camping days. We started 20 years ago with a tent and gradually got bigger through the years. We were ready to go back to a bit more simpler way of camping (although not back to the tenting days!) Can't wait for the fun to begin!! - Julie
Yay! Glad to hear you have joined the ranks! I am sure Pat is happy #282 went to a good home! Don't forget to check out the St. Croix Tearjerkers for upcoming camping events in our area. There are still a couple of sites available in our loop for Tears By the River #4 in Thomson, IL. And I have you on the list for the CICO.
Terry and Julie, Welcome to another Camp-Inn in Minnesota. You have some great places to camp so close to home. We like Perrot, Wywylousing, White Water to name a few.
Thank you for the greetings and well wishes! We are looking forward to meeting many of our Camp-Inn comrades at the Camp-Inn Camp-Outt! This forum is an awesome resource, especially for new owners.
