Sheets and Shoe Bags

Before we picked up our trailer, I made a sheet assembly as suggested. I found I could not easily purchase bottom and top sheets individually, at least for a reasonable price, so I bought a flannel sheet set in a queen size. I then cut the top sheet down to full size by cutting about a foot off one edge and hemming the resulting raw edge. I then sewed the foot of the two sheets together. When we got the trailer, we installed the sheet and it worked perfectly.

On the way home we were constantly trying to deal with shoes when we got into the trailer. We finally settled on using a cloth shopping bag, and hanging it from one of the hooks in the trailer. When we got home, I used the fabric I trimmed from the top sheet to make a pair of bags we can use for our shoes. And, they even match the sheets!

Hi rotus8,

Great idea about the fabric shoe bags and hanging them inside on the coat hooks! I had been thinking of a plastic shoe box to keep outside of the trailer -- which I may do if the shoes are really wet or dirty. Will have to think about the sheet set-up...

Thanks!

We like to use a plactic box outside for our shoes. I keep my flip flops in there in the day when I'm wearing my shoes and at night when we are in the trailer I put my shoes in the box and put my flip flops on the fender for easy access.
